Christmas Recital

Sam had her first Christmas
recital at the Downey Care Center.
She did soo good! She played two songs
Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer
and Joy to the World.
We didn't have a lot of time
to practice her Christmas songs because
we spent several months working on
her song she played for the primary
program...which she did AWESOME!!
She is coming right along!

Naught or Nice?

Santa just couldn't resist!
A lump of coal for each child to
serve as a little reminder that he is always
watching and that naughty or nice list
can change at any given moment!!

All in All they were really good kids!!

Trip to Temple Square

While we were in Salt Lake for Thanksgiving
we decided to make a trip to Temple Square.
We decided to do it before the turned the lights on
so that we didn't have to be there with the crowds.
I know silly us for not wanting to see the lights...but
hey thousands of people and cold don't sound
like a good time to me. I would love for my kids
to see Temple Square with the Christmas lights
but not on the night they turn the lights on!!

Bad Day

This is what happens when you have a BAD day

at work!! I highly suggest it! Chili's Chips and Salsa!

Somedays it takes two bags of chips and 4 bowls

of salsa but today I was broke and

could only afford 1 bag of chips and

1 bowl of salsa and thanks

to justin from work an extra thing of salsa!!!

And to Ty who drove to Chili's just for ME!

Pepsi on hand is bonus!!

Are you Smart?

I have decided that I am dumber than a rock! Why is it that after going through 13 yrs of school I still feel like I know absolutely NOTHING! Austin is in 6th grade and brings home homework that can run circles around me!! Seriously I thought that I was pretty smart..or atleast smarter than my 6th grader! Let's talk about verbs, adverbs, nouns, and adjectives. What word describes or blah blah blah! HELP!! Now lets turn to math....I used to be able to figure out fractions or X - Y +3 = 21....Yeah not so much anymore! Add, subtract, multiply or divide thats all there is anymore in this brain of mine! Let's not talk about social studies...I didn't grow up in Idaho and for that matter Utah has more counties and cities I don't even remember learning in grade school. Science? What's that? If science says it exploded....ok lets face it I have boys, if they want it to explode it WILL! Who remembers the layers of rock or dirt or sea level? Fish are fish...Rocks are Rocks....clouds are clouds....water is water...animals are animals....plants are plants. Did you know that there are more dinosaurs now then there were when I was little?

Tis the Season.....SERIOUSLY!

Tis the season for colds.....NOT THE FLU!
All last week people kept asking me
"Are you going to get the flu shot for
you and your kids?" my response has been
"NO!" Why? let me tell you why....
Mom had gotten the shot every year
probably since she had cancer the first time, and
for as long as I can remember she would
get the stinkin' flu in some form whether it be
for a day or a week! So why in the world
would I want to have
the flu shot????!!!!
Now having said that....Austin has the STINKIN' FLU!!
Now I know what your next question is going to be...
Am I going to get the Flu shot? Hmmmmmm
my answer is still NO! I may regret that in
the end but I still have no faith in that little shot!!
I hope that all of you are healthy and happy!
