I haven't had a lot of "Zaners" time lately

and I have been home with the crud for 3 days

and this is how we are spending it!

To bad mommy has been sick...we should be at the park!

Jeffs Broken Wing

 waiting for surgery can age a person!  (cell phone fun thanks to Dennis)

 What a year this boy has had so far!

Back in March Jeff was playing in a basketball tournament

in Shelley....last 2 seconds of the game that we were losing....

another kid from the other team decided to take a cheap shot at Jeff...

Soooo Todd and Jeff were off the ER....with the help of Jeff's best friend Taylor

and his Dad Dennis....who felt bad every time they hit a bump 

in the road and Jeff would grunt..  

Yup...its Broken.  So monday morning we call the 

Orthopedic Surgen who called the ER to get the ex-rays
and decides he needs to get in that day.  Now I know what your
thinking....put him in a figure 8 and let it heal.

Well I thought that too....but then as were wer talking
to Dr. Stucki we decided that we didn't

wanna look back on this 5 or 10 years down the road and wish that we hadn't 

had it fixed right. The Dr. mentioned that he would
have a very noticeable lump and his 

shoulders would be uneven and when Jeff looked in the mirror 

he would notice it if we didn't fix it.  Not that leaving it to heal wouldn't 

have worked...but if you know anything about my boys they are

 very active and very physical.  Dr. Stucki talked to 

us about Jeff's sports and activities and what kind of 

athlete he was...so the decision was made....Surgery it is.

Jeff now has a plate in his collar bone and 6 screws.  The plate will 

stay in til after football season because Dr. Stucki felt it would give some add

protection to the bone until we can take the plate out and have enough time for

it too completely heal....and you know that taking
it out before football season andJeff NOT playing football this year
would not sit well with him!  OH...and

its killing him that he's had to miss 2 weeks of baseball!  Lucky for Jeff

he will get to play next week....but with some restrictions!

Boy is he biting at the bit to swing a bat and throw a pitch!!

Photo Friday......Opposites

So I gotta admit...I was not prepared for this one and 

racked my brain allll day....thinking....ugh..when am I going

to find the time to do what I realllly wanted to do....

So as we were sitting at dinner tonight and I was eating

my pile of cottage fries there appeared this regular fry.

So here is my opposite..not great...but hey...I got her done!
(oh and lucky for me ... I had my camera on me!)

Finally got a pic of this busy body today!

let me tell you how hard it is the get him to sit still

these days!  He doesn't sit still for church let alone

long enough for me to take his pic and then he wouldn't
even look at me!

They grow up soo quickly!
