Todd's mom will probably never read this but I just wanted to do a little bragging!!
I have the BEST Mother-in-law in the world.
Todd's mom has put up with me for the last 13 years! 7 years ago we moved in with her and I can tell you that she did most of the cooking for the first year or so! I'm sure she was starting to wonder if I even knew how to cook. I learned that all food can use a little onion! She makes the best spaghetti sauce! I learned that not so white clothes CAN be white again! I have watched her grow amazing gardens! Now I know that this is going to sound crazy but I had 2 favorite times of the day...1st- Dish washing time, she cooked and I did the washing of the dishes but it was the time we had together talking about this and that all while sticking my hands in the HOTTEST water! 2nd- We would stay up for hours past our bedtime mostly during the summer time talking and crying and talking somemore! Todd worked out of state most of the time and was only home on the weekends and Robert work midnights at Flags West Truck stop and so we had many nights to ourselves! I watched her with complete amazement make baby aphgan after baby aphgan! I watched her LOVE her grandchildren even if they weren't be very helpful. The kids would help her during the summer with the garden and there were days when I thought they were making a bigger mess than being helpful. I learned how to can tomatoes! I learned how to make jam! And don't forget those obnoxious little onions that I love to eat and so we would pickle extra ones just for me! I learned how to make syrup! We would go pick these tiny little berries called choke cherries! I used to think it was the biggest pain, but now I look forward to going with her and hunting down these bushes and picking buckets and buckets of them so we could make Choke Cherry Syrup! She is the best babysitter, she takes our kids every friday! I was the camp director in our ward for 5 years and she would take the whole week off just so that I could go to girls camp! She even keeps them overnight on occasion! When ever I need her to help me with the kids
she drops everything and comes to my rescue!
When I need a break she steps in!
When my mom died Louise hugged me and told me how much she loved and me and that she wasn't going to try to replace my mom but she would do everything she could to help me and to be there for me whenever I needed her.
She has cried with me and let me get angry!
She has shown me more love than I sometimes deserved!
She is my Friend, my Family, my Teacher,
and the BEST MOTHER-in-law!
I love her with all my heart and I am so greatful that I have her in my life and for all that she does for me and my family! She is always asking us this simple little question...
"Who LOVES you the most?"
We never have to guess how much she loves us!
We LOVE you the MOST!

That was a beautiful trubute. Wow. I would love to spend the afternoon with her. You are just like her.
Well she better read it after all that raving! You're January background is way cute.
Jennie. You describe my mom perfectly. She is one of the best women I know and I am sitting here in South Dakota crying because I don't get to have my mom next door. The everyday things that I miss make me sad. This last fall during canning season I cried on Wade's shoulder because I had to do all of my tomatoes by myself. A phone call just isn't the same. She will tell you herself she never was one to chat on the phone. You were blessed with my mother, but she is also blessed to have you as a daughter.
Jennie, I use an old version of Photoshop Elements for digital scrapbooking (although I REALLY want the newest version). The newest version is I think like 80 bucks at Costco but you can get older ones cheaper. Then I just download papers and embellishments. I've only actually bought a few of them. The rest I've downloaded for free. Most digital scrapbooking sites have a freebies section. Then I just open my photos and the scrapbook stuff I want to use in Photoshop and put it all together. It is pretty easy after you get the hang of it. Let me know if you have any other questions or ever want any help! I'd love to.
Also, are you doing the Relay for Life again this year? I want to join you if you are.
